Serendipity

Why serendipity?
I came across the word today by chance. Which is no surprise because that is how it seems all good things come to me, by chance. Therefore- Serendipity: An aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident.
My name is Andie Anderson and I want to change the world.
Let me just start by saying that it's not easy to be the most scatterbrained person on the planet. I think of so many things and I never have the chance to write it down and many times I would really, really like to remember the things I think. That's why I'm doing this.
Did I say scatterbrained? I meant just scattered in general. Born in Miami, and raised in Rochester, New York I have been scattered all my life. I call Dallas home but right now my place is in Oklahoma where I am studying Journalism. My family is half in Barcelona, Spain and half in San Francisco, California. Now do you see what I mean by scattered? I'm not bitter though, I've lived a fairy tale. I say its because of my varied background that I am so open-minded and have such a variety of thoughts. My only trouble is that I ask a lot of questions, I wonder a lot of things. That's why serendipity is so fitting. Because everything comes to me by chance, and most things end up being desirable, because every new thing is a lesson learned. Which brings me to my next point.
They say every day you learn something new. And I just happen to think it's true. I refuse to sit back and allow Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc. etc. to just be another day. Every single day has a meaning and I am determined to find it. We are only allotted a certain amount of days in our lives so we don't have room to not find beauty in each day, to live every one to the fullest. Everything given to us by chance is a blessing, even if its unexpected or unwanted.
I think it's ok to live along side someone else for a while. People are made to have companionship, that's why love exists. If someone can find happiness in the company of someone else then they have taken part in something I feel is very special. Even if the companionship is merely felt through words.
I don't know who will find this and read it, if anyone finds it at all. Even if it's just myself that I am writing for it would be perfectly fine with me. I find that writing things down gives me perspective. I only hope that one day my words can help others find something, anything, as long as they find something. If they aren't looking for anything and yet they find something then I would be good as gold. If my words and thoughts touch just one other person in this world enough to make them think about what i've said for even just a minute. Then my mission will be accomplished--serendipity.
